Sunday Worship
Winning The World Through Sacrifices of Praise
What To Expect
Trinity Reformed Church follows a pattern of Lord’s Day worship commonly called covenant renewal worship. This is a liturgical form modeled after the structure of biblical covenants and sacrifices. There are 5 “C’s” which constitute the covenant renewal worship of our Sunday liturgy, and they are outlined below.
1) Call to Worship
The service begins with a formal call to the congregation to gather and focus their hearts and minds on worshiping God. The Lord does the calling, and He does so through His ministers who have been set apart.
2) Confession of Sin
The congregation engages in a time of corporate confession, seeking forgiveness and cleansing through Christ. We kneel as an act of submission and prostration before a Holy God. We acknowledge our need for forgiveness and cleansing through our sacrificial lamb.
3) Consecration
This portion of the service may include prayers, hymns, or other elements that serve to consecrate or dedicate the worship service to God's glory. This is where we hear the Word read and preached by God’s ministers.
4) Communion
The Lord's Supper is observed every Lord's Day at Trinity Reformed Church. We warmly invite to the Lord's table all those who are baptized disciples of Jesus Christ, under the authority of Christ and His body, the Church.
5) Commission
As the Lord’s Day service draws to a close, the congregation is commissioned with a charge and a benediction and blessing to go and live faithful and obedient lives through faith in Christ Jesus, our Lord.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
We believe that Psalms and hymns are our weapons in the battle for Christendom. We use them to proclaim the lordship of Christ. We intentionally select historic, robust music that can be led by the men of our congregation. Most of our music is sung without musical accompaniment which gives us more opportunity to shout for joy to the Lord!

We believe our children are a crucial part of the church - our covenant community. You will hear the sound of little children in worship—and we encourage parents to keep their children in worship as much as possible.
In the event that a little one needs to be fed, changed, or corrected there is dedicated space for this, but we encourage you to come back and continue worshiping as soon as you’re finished.

During the service, if you are able, we invite you to kneel for confession out of reverence before God. If you struggle with knee pain or other issues, let the elders know and we will gladly see how we can accommodate you.

The Lord's Supper is observed every Lord's Day at Trinity Reformed Church. We warmly invite to the Lord's table all those who are baptized disciples of Jesus Christ, under the authority of Christ and His body, the Church. The cup is wine and the bread is not gluten free. If you are unable to partake in these elements due to their condition please let an elder know and we will make appropriate accommodations.
